How to blog or comment

Only teachers that are part of the #ict4red project will be allowed to blog here collaboratively. Before you blog, please read the introduction and guidelines here: http://goo.gl/Zc1pYU. Feel free to leave supportive blog comments on any of the blog posts.

What is the difference between a blog post and a blog comment?

Comments
You can leave a comment on any of the posts by reading the post, scrolling down to the bottom of the post and clicking on  Comments.

• A comment window will open and you can start typing your comment into the space provided.
• Make sure that you are signed into your Google account and click on that so that we can know that the comment is from you. If you are working on your tablet you should be signed into your Google account automatically. To limit spam you have to be signed in to make a comment. 
• Check your spelling- if it has a red squiggle under the word, it is spelled incorrectly!
• Click on Notify me so that you get a message if someone reply to your posting.
• Click on Publish. 
• Your comment will appear under the blog post as soon as it has been moderated (a few hours).

Steps to post a blog 
 Anybody can post comments to the blog as long as they are signed in with their Google account and the post is moderated, but not everybody can do blog posts. To be a blog author of this blog:

• You need to be added by the ICT4RED team. 
• You can also send a blog post via email. 

So if you want to do a blog post (become an author here), you will need to 

• Send an email to ict4red@gmail.com with subject (Blog post) and your name and surname as well as your school in the body of the email. 
• The team will then add you as a blog author using your gmail address. You will receive an email stating that you have been added. Accept the invitation by clicking on it. 
• You should have the blogger app installed on your tablet. If not, install it from the play store.
• Open the Blogger app- it should show you the ICT4RED teachers blog. 
• Click on the edit pen:
  
• You will see the post ready for you to complete:
  
• Put in a short post title that describe what your blog is all about.
• Click on Post content- a content box will open:
  
• Type in your story and click on Done at the top left when you are finished.
  
• Click on the camera next to your Post Title and choose Pick from Gallery to choose a photo form the gallery that will go well with your blog post.
  
• You can now Publish or Save your post if you want to work on it again later. Click on the arrow at the top right.
  
• If you chose Publish it will now appear on the blog. If you chose Save your first have to publish it before it will be on the blog!
